Ton Duc Thang University Welcomes and Works with the University of Waikato

On July 8, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University welcomed and worked with the delegation from the University of Waikato (New Zealand), led by the Chancellor – Prof. Neil Quigley.

Welcoming and working with the delegation on behalf of TDTU were Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President of TDTU, Dr. Dinh Hoang Bach – Director of the International Cooperation, Research and Training Institute, and leaders of a number of the Departments, Faculties, and Institutes under the University.

Overview of the working session

During the working session, representatives from both universities engaged in in-depth discussions on potential areas of cooperation. These included designing diverse joint programs with international universities (dual-degree, pathway, franchise) in faculties/majors such as Business and Economics, Engineering. The two sides also explored opportunities to promote lecturer and student exchange activities, as well as collaborative research in the fields of Business and Economics, Law, Information Technology, etc. In addition, they discussed the potential for inviting lecturers, experts, and professors from the University of Waikato to engage in teaching, research, and the organization of workshops and specialized seminars at TDTU.

On this occasion, both universities renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), reaffirming their commitment to sustaining and expanding the bilateral partnership.
